Exhibition introduction

This is a magic world, with wonderful light and shadow, pleasant music, vivid characters and fascinating stories. In this world, people wish they had never grown up.

Animation contains too many things, from art to philosophy, from imitation to creativity, from script to performance, from sketching to modeling. It is not only the expression of the creator's ideas, but also the masterpiece of team struggle. 

​

Animation was once a dream and hobby for us when we were young. Now it is just a goal of college study. In the future, it may just be repeated keystrokes on the mouse and keyboard. But in any case, our enthusiasm will not diminish at all.

Please let this exhibition take you into the strange world of animation and have an interesting animation adventure.

University

Lingnan University (LU) is a liberal arts university in Hong Kong with the longest established tradition among the local institutions of higher education. The University’s history dates back to 1888, when the forerunner, the Christian College in China, was founded in Guangzhou, and to 1967, when the institution, as Lingnan College, was re-established in Hong Kong and renamed Lingnan University in 1999.

Animation & Digital Arts

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Animation and Digital Arts (ADA) was a new programme launched by Lingnan University in the 2019/20 academic year. ADA offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to creative arts education that fosters innovative thinking and creativity. It will add an extra dimension to the liberal arts curriculum, the core value of Lingnan’s mission in higher education. Students of this programme will learn fundamental knowledge and professional skills in animation and digital arts.
